Traditional India by Car – Discover the Desert (13 Nights / 14 Days)

Day 1 – Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India’s capital city! Upon arrival you are welcomed with a traditional Indian greeting before being escorted to your hotel.

Day 2 – Sightseeing – Traditional Old & New Delhi

We will start with a morning tour to Old Delhi – Places to visit includes Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Ashoka Pillar and the famous Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon, we will head toward New Delhi driving through the India Gate, Parliament House, the President’s House followed by Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Akshardham Temple.

Day 3 – Delhi to Mandawa

Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. It is part of Shekhawati region. Mandawa is situated 190 km off Jaipur in the north. It will take morning drive to reach Mandawa. We can spent the evening exploring Mandawa which is known for its fort and havelis.

Day 4 – Mandawa to Bikaner

Bikaner is a city in the north Indian state of Rajasthan, east of the border with Pakistan. It’s surrounded by the Thar Desert. The city is known for the 16th-century Junagarh Fort, a huge complex of ornate buildings and halls. Places to visit here are Junagarh Fort, The National Research Centre, LALGARH Palace & Museum, Rampuria Group of Havelis, Laxmi Niwas Palace, Prachina Museum etc. Night stay.

Day 5 – Bikaner to Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading center and a princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, in the heart of the Thar Desert. Known as the “Golden City,” it’s distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture.

Day 6 – Jaisalmer Visit

In the morning places to explore here are Bada Bagh, Vyas Chhatri, The golden city- jaisalmer, Desert National Park, Laxminatham Handicraft, Patwon Ki Haveli, Jaisalmer Fort, Folklore Museum and in the evening sunset on Sand Dunes. Night stay as per plan. Day 7 – Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

In the morning we will start for Jodhpur. Jodhpur is a city in the Thar Desert of the northwest Indian state of Rajasthan. Its 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort is a former palace that’s now a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs). Set on on a rocky outcrop, the fort overlooks the walled city, where many buildings are painted the city’s iconic shade of blue.

After arrival, exploring Jodhpur city. places to visit are Mehrangarh, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, Ghanta Ghar etc. Night stay.

Day 8 – Jodhpur to Udaipur

In the morning we will start for Jodhpur. Jodhpur is a city in the Thar Desert of the northwest Indian state of Rajasthan. Its 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort is a former palace that’s now a museum, displaying weapons, paintings and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs). Set on on a rocky outcrop, the fort overlooks the walled city, where many buildings are painted the city’s iconic shade of blue.

On the way to Udaipur, we will visit Ranakpur Jain Temple and reach city in evening. Night stay. After arrival, exploring places to visit are City Palace Udaipur, Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple, Jag Mandir, Udaipur etc. Night stay.

Day 9 – Udaipur

Morning visit : exploring places to visit are City Palace Udaipur, Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple, Jag Mandir, Udaipur etc. Night stay.

Day 10 – Udaipur to Pushkar

After reaching Pushkar in the after nook we can visit Pushkar Temple, Pushkar Lake, Savitri Mata Mandir and Pushkar Camel Safari. Night stay.

Day 11 – Pushkar to Jaipur

Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. After reaching we will go for day visit of Jaipur city. Night stay.

Day 12 – Jaipur

Visit to Ame Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantr Mantar of Jaipur. Night stay.

Day 13 – Jaipur to Agra

Agra is a city in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh state. It’s home to the iconic Taj Mahal, a mausoleum built for the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan’s wife, Mumtaz Mahal (who died in childbirth in 1631).

On the way to Agra site seeing of Abhaneri Stepwell(Chand Baori) and Fatehpur Sikri famous for Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal,Tomb of Salim Chisti and Jama Mosque, Fatehpur Sikri. Night stay.

Day 14 – Agra

Visit to Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Sikandra Park, Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb, Mehtab Bagh.

Back to Delhi from Jaipur: After having snacks and checking out hotel, we will drive back to Delhi. You can choose to book a hotel to stay in Delhi or may request departure transfer to the airport as per your flight schedule.
